Competition for young writers

I've just been on the phone with the people at Right Words, who are running a competition for young writers. The idea is to produce a piece of writing inspired by the issue of child soldiers, and it's a reminder of just how powerful a means of communication - and understanding - writing can be.

The competition is open to students around Britain - so you'll need to be a young writer yourself (or perhaps you're a teacher with a class to inspire?) and there's still time to enter: it closes on 18 December 2009. The best entries will be published in an anthology.

For more details read our earlier post by Daniel Hahn and of course do take a look at the Right Words website, which has all the Rules and Resources you need.

Good luck!
