Do you write within this genre? If so, what inspires you, who inspires you and where do you go to write?

Hi Lucy,

My writing seems to fall into the Young Adult category. I have to admit the town where I live had a part to do with the current young adult fantasy which I am plotting. I live in Lanark; a small'ish town in Central Scotland. This is the town where William Wallace killed the English Sheriff and from there went onto do his bit for Scottish Independance in battles such as the one at Stirling Bridge. The who is easy Arthur Conan Doyle and his novel the Hound of the Baskervilles and the Lost World books although I re-read Sherlock Holmes on a more regular basis and as to where well usually on the sofa at home in the evening in front of the television; pen in hand and a particular kind of notebook that I love to write in.
