I was given a Kindle as a Christmas present. The only book on it is, Little Women - Louisa May Alcott.

I got a kindle as a present nearly two years ago, the first book I downloaded was The Great Gatsby. I saw the original film with Robert Redford and have always wanted to read the book. I've still not read more than first few pages! I have now got quite a collection on the kindle, the advantage is the cheaper price and not having to carry a heavy book around if you are travelling. I also have a newspaper subscription so I can read the paper on it without having to go out and get it!
I don't have a Kindle or a tablet. How old fashioned. Like Adrian I prefer book books and have a few hundreds. I bought my husband a Kobo because you can get library books on it for free. I downloaded the Kindle app to my laptop computer a year ago, just to learn what it was all about really and read Pride and Prejudice that came free with it. The app won't open anymore, I must have ignored it for too long.
I read Little Women a long while ago. I put it on my Kindle because it was free. besides, I think its the best piece of traditional/early American literature.
I'm not sure that my Kindle will get much use. I much prefer the feel and smell of books.I have at least 600 on my shelves, mostly novels. I also have books of famous artists, classical composers, the ballet and opera. Many have glossy pictures in them.
I like to see books on peoples shelves, they are a conversation starter.
