Once again, our annual Short Story Competition has proven as popular as ever. We've had thousands of entries (2,134, to be precise!) and it's been an absolute joy to get a glimpse of your writing. A shortlist, however, had to be settled on, with this year's judge - our very own editor of the Writers' & Artists' Yearbook Alysoun Owen - whittling things down until just ten entries remained. Was there a longlist?
Well my story involved longing and mistaken identity so I was on the right track. Congratulations to the prize winners, an Arvon course is a wonderful week of learning and communal living with other prospective authors. I did one a couple of years ago, a brilliant experience.
