Are you an aspiring author? Do you have a young adult or new adult manuscript polished and ready to go? Well Bloomsbury Spark is ready to accept your submissions!
Bloomsbury Spark is a global, digital imprint from Bloomsbury Publishing for teen, YA, and new adult readers featuring new and established authors. This new venture from Bloomsbury is currently acquiring teen, young adult, and new adult fiction across all genres, including but not limited to romance, paranormal, contemporary, dystopian, science fiction, mystery, thriller, historical fiction, and more—from writers all over the world. Unlike a traditional trade list, Bloomsbury Spark eBooks are published exclusively in digital format first, and sold side-by-side with Bloomsbury print and digital books!
If you’re an author, Bloomsbury Spark is a hands-on, full-service publishing house, not only interested in publishing your book, but also crafting your career.
Bloomsbury Spark is a one-stop shop for getting your book published, from carefully shaping your manuscript to posting your book for sale. Every Bloomsbury Spark eBook will be edited by a dedicated Digital Editor. Other services provided include: copyediting, proofreading, cover design, and local marketing. The entire imprint will also receive marketing and advertising support in addition to the campaign for individual books.
Agents are not required for your manuscript to be considered by Bloomsbury Spark. They are currently accepting English language manuscripts between 25,000 and 60,000 words. Please send your manuscript (in Word) to one of the following email addresses, along with a query, a brief biography, and links to your online presence. Please do NOT submit your manuscript more than once or to more than one email address.
For submissions in the United States and Canada: BloomsburySparkUS@bloomsbury.com
For submissions in the United Kingdom, Europe and ROW: BloomsburySparkUK@bloomsbury.com
For submissions in Australia: BloomsburySparkAUS@bloomsbury.com
For submissions in India: BloomsburySparkINDIA@bloomsbury.com
If Bloomsbury Spark is interested in publishing your work, they will get in touch directly within two months from your submission.
The word limit is Odd, and kind of restricting. I guess it must be because they are targeting these manuscripts at a younger audience than is more traditional
Is there a deadline for this?
Is it limited to e-books?
