Agents - do they want two things the same?

Let me explain that a little better -

I am writing a children's fantasy novel which, without blowing smoke up anywhere unpleasant, strikes me as being very J K Rowling in style and appeal. So, for example, would this make it attractive to agents such as Christopher Little, who have had great success in the area before? Or do agents shy away from having two conflicting titles?

That makes me sound like I'm on J K Rowling's level, which I do not pretend to be... apologies!

It all depends on the agent I guess, IIRC i'm sure J K Rowling said that the first Harry Potter book recevied over 100 rejections. So I guess, persistence is the key!

They might welcome another book of the same genre if they know it will do well, but it could be a good idea to find agents who specialise in the genre you're writing it.
