Hello,
My name is Anne, and I am a "beginner poet".
I think jumped the gun, so to speak. Because I submitted my first poem, which I was happy with at the time, to a bunch of publishers and competitions and the silence was deafening.
I've written some more pieces since then (mostly prose), and I'm wondering if/ where I could get editorial advice on my poetry, eg. this bit is good, but that bit doesn't work.
If anyone have any advice I'd be grateful.
Kind regards
Anne Fogarty

Hi Anne,
Lovely to hear from you! I think all writers can relate to jumping the gun. Sometimes, writing just burns a hole in your pocket and you want to send it out into the world even if it is too soon.
Sophia Blackwell, an experienced writer and poet, has just published a book with us called The Poetry's Handbook: https://www.bloomsbury.com/uk/poetry-writers-handbook-9781472988683/
If you are looking for editorial advice on your poetry, I'd also recommend checking out The Literary Consultancy as they offer poetry assessment: https://literaryconsultancy.co.uk/editorial/manuscript-assessment/
I hope this helps!
