I'm in need of some advice. I've written and illustrated an early chapter book and am ready to look for an agent. However, I haven't seen one that accepts this genre in the UK. Only picture books or middle grade books. Should I submit it under middle grade? Or look for specialists in early readers?

Congrats on writing and illustrating an early chapter book! That's a great accomplishment, so well done.
In terms of finding an agent for an early chapter book, there definitely are agents out there who accept these but you're right that it doesn't always seem to be made as explicit as picture book or middle grade.
I'd actually recommend looking at comparisons of similar books in the market, finding out the author's name, and then searching online for who that author's agent is. This will then give you a ready-made list of agents who you know represents authors/illustrators in this area.
