Ghostwriting and co-writing

I have just been asked by a former colleague to co-write or ghostwrite their story, as she has potential book deal with a publisher - it will be about her journey as an entrepreneur. I just wanted to ask about ghostwriting rates, co-writing agreements etc and the general processes as I have not done such a project before and would greatly appreciate any information given.

Sorry, it's rather broad and vague!

Thanks

It may be that the publisher has a ghost-writer in mind already. Whatever that situation, they will have a standard contract that divides the royalties and copyright between you and your friend.

The best known ghostwriter is Andrew Croft - have a look at his website for more information and tips http://www.andrewcrofts.com/

Good luck!
