And don't forget, Ashwerya, perfection is impossible but success isn't! I know my final draft will never be perfect but I always hope it will be successful. :-) I always limit myself to three drafts - if I haven't got it right by the third draft then I should probably try writing something else! In saying that, my second draft is where I pull each sentence apart until they say just what I need them to say.
Mark I loved that "aspiring multi-millionaire authors" thing. But you are right we have nothing to lose. Last night I came up with an idea and I'll be working on it, hope to finish it before 11th.

I agree Jonathan, happens with me all the time, I do editing more than writing. New ideas sprout and I start typing them again into my piece and then have to work all the way back again. But sometimes I keep them away and write them somewhere else for another piece.
You are right it is almost bad as submission.
The trick is to submit after editing 3-4 times and free urself.
