How did you discovered W&A?

Well... I was searching about J.K. Rowling's early life to know which publishing house accepted Harry Potter books first. There I found Bloomsbury's site and looked for the option "Contact Us". Then comes the big surprise: Right at the page's top was written - "Please note that Bloomsbury no longer accept unsolicited manuscripts and cannot return any material sent to us. Please visit the Writers' and Artists' website and the Writers’ and Artists’ blog to find out more about getting published and how to get an agent." That's why I'm here now!!

So how did you find Writers & Artists?

I was actually pointed to W+A by a sales assistant in Waterstones.

I had gone in to try and see if I could get any advice on publishing, wondered if Waterstones had any kind of material.

Instead I got a very friendly chap who was clearly passionate about books, publishing and illustration. He gave me some good advice and W+A was one of the sources he recommended. I searched it and now I am here.

P.S. I would't mind being the next Tolkien however I'd much prefer to be the first Dooner.
