I have posted a couple of poems on the 'Shared Work' section of this site, however no comments have been left. Could there be a counter added to show authors how many times their work has been viewed? I believe this in itself would be encouraging.

Good idea. At least it'd give an idea of numbers interested enough to check it out. We all know how hard it is to get comments.
