Congratulations on finishing your novel! That's an accomplishment in itself.
If you are looking for a literary agent, the first thing to do is research! Researching agents also helps you think about your own book. For example, what genre is your book? This will then help you to narrow your agent search and make more targeted approaches.
Most agents are approached via email. You will need to send the first three chapters/first 10,000 words of your novel, along with a synopsis and a covering letter.
