Hey Guys,

Wondering if anyone can help me at all, I have self published two poetry and illustration books, about to do a book launch for my 2nd one, and i'm just wondering were to go from here? I have a 3rd book in draft and would love to get it published by a publisher, as well as maybe get a nice hardcopy for both my 1st and 2nd books, do I need to be looking for a poetry agent? or a publisher? I'm slightly confused as to what to look for next, also if anyone has any uk poetry publishers or agents recommendations, any advice would be very much appreciated. Kind Regards LJB x

Hi Lauren,
Congrats on your self-publishing accomplishments! Can I ask if the the third book in draft is also a poetry book? Poetry publishing does work slightly different from fiction publishing, as there are a lot of smaller, independent poetry presses that you can submit directly to (normally for fiction, you would need to be represented by a literary agent)
I'd really recommend checking out Sophia Blackwell's book: https://www.bloomsbury.com/uk/poetry-writers-handbook-9781472988683/

Neon Books have put together this excellent list of UK poetry publishers, which might also be a useful point of reference for you as you contact publishers.

I hope this helps!
