I was watching one of Roald Dahl's Tales of the Unexpected recently. There was a twist in the tale - not his best - but then a milisecond before the credits came the real twist and it was genius! However, what I found most revealing was Roald's little foreside preamble setting the scene for the story. He revealed he was a very slow, meticulous writer but what came next took my breath away - this single, short story too SIX HUNDRED hours of writing and thinking time. Gives hope to us all!
Sorry to bore you all.
