Timed out!!!!

God I'm peeved. I had just spent time adding a critique on one the shared pieces of works, and when I clicked the add comment - poof! - I had been timed out, and what I had written has been lost.

Okay, perhaps I should have written it down first, but that's not the point. Why on earth does this funtion exist. I like to read the piece of work through first, and then go back over it and write up any comments I may have.

So please, will you disable it, otherwise, what is the point.

Sorry for ranting.

Thanks for replying, but I'm not quite sure I was on for that long before trying to post my comment. Perhaps I'm slower than I realise!

So that in mind, I think three hours would be a brilliant idea.

Sarah.

Hi Sarah,

Session timeout is currently set to 2 hours; the idea is that if you walk away from your browser without logging out then after 2 hours nobody else can access your personal information. The unfortunate side-effect is what you've experienced! Were you active on the website during that length of time?

Would it help if we set the time-out to 3 hours? Meanwhile, we'll add a message to the comment form to help other users.

Thank you for highlighting this.
