I have a few dummy books to send to a publisher who is currently accepting submissions. In the 2023 handbook it says to address letters to 'The Editor' but it also gives a list of editor names. Do I just write 'Dear Editor' which seems general, or do I address it to one of the named editors, and if so, how do I choose which one when I'm struggling to find out who specialises in what? Thanks.

Hi Nicola,
Who is the publisher you're planning on submitting your dummy books to? Most publishers usually have a website and you can find the person who you need to address the email to. If you're struggling to find out who specialises in a particular subject, you could address it to 'The Team at 'insert the name of the publisher here''
I hope that helps.
