Who'd like a W&A Closed Facebook Group?

by David J. Ashton

I've just asked W&A if they can start a Closed Facebook Group for W&A Members Only. They've responded favourably, but I thought I'd start a petition here anyway!

A Closed Facebook Group, for those who don't know, will be an invitation only group where only group members can see each others posts and which makes it ideal for us to share our work (and as much of it as we like) securely, ask questions and share stuff.

If you'd also like a W&A Closed Facebook Group please write, "Yes Please!" in a comment below.

I think it could be open to abuse, not necessarily by original participants but by others who may join at a later date that maybe have heard of the Facebook connection rather than wanting to use the knowledge and experience of a much larger group as it is now. I of course could be wrong I often am so in this instance I'm out.

Hi guys.

I'm pretty new to this (I signed up only a couple of weeks ago) and I do think the Private Facebook group is a good idea, as I didn't realise the general public could read our comments/ideas etc until now, but my questions are as follows:

Who will be the Administrators? Will they be representatives of W&A or just one of 'us'?

Will it create a rift between those in the group and those out of it?

Will it render this website pointless as (I assume) the majority of people would share their ideas in the group with a smaller audience.

Would it be a better idea to have this website make those changes itself so that you have to be a member of W&A before you can see other's comments/ideas instead of shipping it off to facebook?

As I said, I'm pretty new to this, so I don't know all the ins and outs of what we can do here and how it has been before now but I'm looking forward to finding it out.

Cheers!
