It MIGHT be just my computer, but strange things seem to be going on. ALL the comments have disappeared from ALL the "shared works" except for the last one. I happen to know that SOME of the writers of those "shared works" haven't read the latest comments posted.
Has a former worker at Bloomsbury - who had the password to the administration of this site and was fired - decided to take revenge by deleting all this material? Are they now reading this and laughing? There's no need to take out your bad feeling on us writers! WE didn't fire you.
Or has a hacker from another publisher decided to throw a spanner into the works here?
There was a lot of good advice on there (as well as some bad), just vanished into thin air (hopefully not forever).
As I wrote, this might just be a technical problem with my computer. Is anybody/everybody else having the same problem?
Hi All,
Thanks for keeping an eye on all of this!
Adrian: thanks for reporting this issue. We've let the web developers know and think this can easily be restored
Wilhelmina: Which comment hasn't been restored? Your last comment against that piece of work is listed just below Jimmy's around 18 hours ago. Have you made a comment since then which hasn't been pulled through? If so, could you let us know at writersandartists@bloomsbury.com? Other comments made at a similar time may also have been affected so it would be good to know further details.
Jimmy: unfortunately the URL structure has had to change in order for all Community members to benefit from being able to share more of their work on the site. The URL structure certainly isn't a tidy one, but we felt it more important for writers to be able to create a portfolio of work for other community members to read through and comment upon on a story-by-story basis.
Renewed thanks for all of your input and again, apologies for the technical glitches. We hope you can appreciate we're trying to get this right for everyone who contributes to the site.
Best,
The W&A Team
The Admin-team need to fix the bug in the Blogs section. The number of replies to Blogs doesn't show.
Not to mention that the new system of URLs (e.g. https://www.writersandartists.co.uk/profile/kashaf-noor/work/55ed6cc3cf09c0e5a0d4a7d2 instead of the former https://www.writersandartists.co.uk/profile/kashaf-noor/work) means that ALL formal links to "shared works" (some of which have been shared with non-users, perhaps - in some cases - literary agents, certainly to off-site friends) have now been rendered totally useless. WHY is this complicated jumble of letters and digits necessary???
