I had my novel self-published by authorhouse, this is one of two novels the second book is called bloodline.
From the first novel
The day of reckoning had come. The earth stood still, the heart of the winter solstice, darkness filled the sky. The fear in the hearts of mankind was felt around the earth. A star above burnt in the heavens, the skies all around lit up with a blood coloured light. Michael looked around him nobody was moving like zombies looking up into the sky. He wanted to turn and run away, but couldn't move. An unearthly silence covered the earth mankind knew in their souls this was the end of time.
