Available on Amazon.com's platform, this 2014 ebook will soon be revised and updated. It's cowritten with my wife Hanni and targets the needs of young adults worldwide in all fields of creative endeavor. Presented in six chapters, we make the case for partnership skills - something still in short supply in English-speaking classrooms. Our work offers vignettes highlighting why many talented coworkers have excelled as alter egos in ways beyond their reach as lone wolves. But we also delve into some pitfalls that can undercut such teamwork if coworkers' common vision becomes blurred.
Collaborating's focus on shared visions and joint commitment covers the broad waterfront in the arts, sciences, business, the professions, and politics. Its 2014 companion book Milestones of Working Partnership: Honing the Creative Edge (also found on Amazon.com) approaches the topic throughout modern history - starting in 1700 and continuing to the present. This book will be spun off in a greatly expanded three e-books: (1) teamwork in the arts and emtertainmemt, (2) teamwork in science and technology, and (3) teamwork in business, the professions, and politics. These e-books will give career planners a chance to "cherry pick" within their planned job market.
Keep tuned for our update details at Writers & Artists at shepard@bluewin.ch.
Hi Lyn, I also clicked on this link as it intrigued me. If you'd like to put something up, I'd be interested in reading a sample. Thanks
3 criticisms:
a) You missed an "a" out of the title of this piece: Collborating.
b) This section of W&As is to share samples of your work with us. This piece should really be on your profile. Can't you post a sample of your e-books here? (I clicked on this entry because the subject interests me, but I've learnt very little about your writing style or how you handle the theme.)
c) shepard@bluewin.ch seems to be an e-mail address. So are you asking us to sign up for your newsletter without read any of your writing? You should provide a link to your own web-site (or at least to the Amazon entries for the 2 books).
