Dalia lives alone with her mother and her Aunty Ellis. There has been a lot of mishaps for this family and that is because of a curse. A curse is an expressed wish. It all began when her great grandmother was alive. She was terrified of being alone. She met a gypsy who gave her a gift, a black rose. The rose was said to give her good luck. And she remarried. However, the black rose was to be looked after well. And if failed, it would result badly. Eventually it resulted in death and she passed away. The black rose was then given to her grandmother. And since she died naturally, it was passed to Aunty Ellis. Aunty Ellis felt she couldn't cope with it so she gave it to her mother.
Goths weren't a big thing in the 70's, they were always around. And you can't say you "used to be Goth". You either are or you aren't. You might have only played the part briefly, to fit in. They have a world Goth day that was created on the 22nd of May in the UK. It wasn't worldwide until after.
Dalia's mother has kept secrets over the years and it isn't until her birthday that they are revealed.
Hi Susan
I've sent you a connection request to discuss this more if you don't mind ? I am a writer, I want to be on here like everyone else
Is that alright that we can share some things like writing tips etc ?
Thanks
Hi again. In that case I'm still not sure what you are hoping for from using this site? I haven't posted any of my own work for a while, but I used to, usually with specific questions - eg is the dialogue realistic? Does this grab your interest etc Or just for general comment so that I had some critique to work from for improvement.
Because I don't want to share all of my work. I just share the interesting parts. I have said if you want to know more, message me we can exchange emails and then I can send you a sample
