Dr Clarke, who is well-known for introducing innovative appliances, has dedicated some of the chapters to the products and processes he has created. These demonstrate not only his love of orthodontics, but also his high degree of expertise and originality. The writing in this book is limited to a minimal, yet several of the clinical images appear somewhat overexposed or out of focus. Although it is illustrated, it is easy to become lost in this book because there is no index to aid readers. The book is solely about the author's personal clinical experiences and makes no attempt to discuss the scientific base for this treatment philosophy in depth. It will be of limited interest to orthodontic researchers and academics because it does not include any scientific aspects of orthodontics.
