The Fairytale Of An Angel- Prologue

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away is how most fairytales start, but not this one. My fairytale starts, not in the taller tower in some far away fantasy kingdom, but in a small rural town in the east of England. I wasn't some beautiful princess in some castle, locked away in some tower room. I was an ordinary, boring and untalented teenage girl.

My name was Jennifer Marilyn Moore. I was named after my late Grandma Jenny and the one and only Marilyn Monroe (Mum had an obsession with her whilst pregnant with me). I was sixteen, one month and two days when my world stopped. When I was thirteen and four months, I was diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia, the rarest form of leukemia.

I knew all along that this disease was going to kill me, it was just a matter of time. Time. My parents had always thought that time would allow a miracle to let their baby stay on Earth, but that never happened.

I've always wanted to write a story people would remember, so here we go. This begins MY fairytale.
