I am a big fantasy reader and my own book is fantasy. I love the beginning of this. You have illustrated that these people are part of something historic with traditions, which gives your work some depth. You also begin to feel concerned and curious about the characters you have created.

If I were to nitpick, I would just say keep an eye on spelling and punctuation, but that is something we all have to do and I can only guess how many errors people can find in this answer.

I'm really pleased to have found this extract as it is something I would would pick up in a bookshop if I found it!
