My Dearest Richard,
I already realize I'll regret writing this to you forever. However the eternal joy you brought me was unlike anything I had ever experienced in my life, and it came at a time when I needed it the most. For days, my body hurt, and I couldn't eat knowing that I am about to make the biggest decision of my life. I want you to know that the love I had for you was sincere and as I cried in your arms telling you about my family and how I have to pick between love and the family business, I thought my answer was clear but I realised that my family is more important to me and I will hate to see them disappointed in me, so I am leaving the life we had together and I am going back to Japan. Please tell my Sora that I am sorry and that I love her. I hope you get to live a good life and forget about me.
Sara.
Richard Dawson sat on the floor holding on to the last piece of note he had from the woman he loved. He didn't know what else to do. It was like his entire world had fallen apart just by that note. He held the paper up and reading it again making sure he was mistaken and that the words she wrote were all a lie but when she cried to him three days ago and told him everything about her family, maybe in his heart he already knew she was gone. He ran his hands through his hair. It was only after he had gotten himself that he heard the sound of a baby crying. "Sora!" he exclaimed and ran towards his room almost falling out of fear. How long had she been crying for? He carried his six month old daughter from her crib and rocked her in his arms. She looked like her mother except with freckles. He looked at her while she closed her eyes slowly, he should be angry for how the woman he loved left him to care for their daughter alone but for some reason he was not. Despite that fact, he wished she took Sora too. She could have at least taken their daughter so she wouldn't have to suffer. He was scared that he would not be a good father. Even if he meant nothing to her at least their daughter could have mattered. He knew she had been depressed a lot of times since moving in with him and when she decided to open up about her family and her parents expectations for her, he thought he could be of help but she chose to follow her family's footsteps. "Looks like it is just you and me now So-". He could not call her that name again for it only reminded him of his love. "Kendra, it is just us now, your mother has abandoned us for a better life. Your dad may disappoint you but I will never leave you. I promise", he said kissing her forehead then placed her back in the crib with a promise in his heart that he will never speak of the woman he once loved again. Richard watched his beautiful daughter close her little eyes and fall into a deep slumber. He loved her and he was going to make her the centre of his world and try his best to make sure she does not see pain at all. Though his job as a butcher was not bringing much profit, he would try his best for his daughter.
