Daxton stood in front of me, leaning back on the corner of a wall with one foot crossed over the other, his arms folded in front of him. "You were looking for me?" He asked and I just scowled. "Aw, does that mean you're going to give me a chance, Princess Blaze?" He asked and I nodded, feeling sick and defeated. "I'll give you a chance but if we don't work out that doesn't mean you can get Talon and I killed." I said and he nodded. "Okay then, this way lovely." He said with an evil smile. I hate him, I think to myself. I hate him a lot. He intertwined our hands and the feeling of his rough skin rubbing against mine nauseated me. He reminded me of a water gecko with his sweaty rough skin and green eyes.
"This way darling, let's greet your new brother in law with the good news," he said with a smirk and I forced myself not to vomit on his perfect leather shoes. "Shall we then," I managed to call him dear without vomiting, now all I need to do is find a way to escape him. I thought to myself and I begrudgingly walked hand in hand with Daxton towards Talon with a scowl on his disappointed face. "Talon, dear brother, why don't you come meet my lady here?" He asked and Talon smirked.
I noticed some tension between the two of them by simply just watching Talon as he took my hand in his slowly, and pressing his lips to my skin, letting them linger unnecessarily a few seconds too long. He looked up into my face, probably noticing the pink tint to my cheeks as he looked into my eyes. "Nice to meet you, Princess." He said and I smiled as I responded with "you too." Daxton didn't hold the victorious smirk on his face anymore as Talon nodded to his brother and walked away. Daxton grabbed my arm and spoke sternly into my left ear quietly. "You are never to come in physical contact with my brother again Blaze." I fought the tears in the brim of my eyes from spilling, not wanting him to see my weakness. I nodded in response and stood there, hating myself for trying to save Talon and I this way.
Daxton grabbed my arm and started to drag me with him as he walked quickly down a new hallway. "This is where you're going to be until I come back to get you." He said and he opened a door that I hadn't noticed was there before. "So sorry Princess, but you've angered me." He said with a sly smile. I tried to wriggle out of his tight grip but I couldn't and he shoved me in the room. I fell to the ground with a thud and instantly picked myself up and ran to the door but when I opened it, there was nothing there but matching stone. No..No, no, no, no. I began to pace the floor scared out of my mind, raking my hands through my hair. Okay Blaze, remember what your friend back in middle school told you about your fears. I tried to calm down and started looking around the cell like room for a way out. After about fifteen minutes of trying to find loose stone within the walls, and finding no windows, I decided to just sit against the door with my head on my knees, curled up like the pathetic warrior I was supposed to be.
After what seemed like hours I felt something behind the door and I turned around to face the door. Slowly the stones, one by one started to disappear. What..? I wanted to get close but I don't know what will happen. This is definitely magic. Suddenly the stone disappeared completely and in front of me stands Talon with a woman about my age standing behind him. Not a second later Talon was shoved into the cell and I had to dodge him so he wouldn't crush me. The woman waved her hand, wiggling her fingers and the last thing we saw before the stone was sealed again was her smile. The stone became one with the walls again and Talon just put his head in his hands. I crawled over to Talon who was just sitting there not doing, saying, or what seemed like feeling anything. I've never seen Talon like this. I wonder what he's thinking.
"Don't wonder that.." He said and I looked at him, unsure of what to say. He looked up into my eyes and I saw his unknown expression on his face. What was it? Empathy..or maybe sadness? His eyes glistened in the dim light of the stone cell room and it looked like from an angle that he was tearing up. Perhaps It was just the light reflecting from his eyes, but it made me wonder what's going to happen next. "I'm sorry Blaze, and I'm sorry that you're not going to like my next decision." He said and I tilted my head to the side. "What do you mean?" I responded. Talon rose his right hand with a sorrowful expression on his face. "Please forgive me, Princess." He said and I backed away from him. "Talon." I warned. "This is the only way I can protect you." He started waving his hand around in different patterns and variations of twists and turns speaking in a language in which I'd never recognized.
"Talon, what are you doing?" I backed up against the wall with my hands in front of me as if it was a shield, protecting me from harm. "Saving you," He replied. "No!" I screamed and a beam of light shot from Talon's hands and struck my chest. I screamed in pain as it burned, and I was curious to why this is happening to me, and from Talon of all people. I turned to Talon who was supposedly crying. "I'm so sorry Blaze..." He said, and I screamed in pain, falling to the cold ground. "What's happening?"
