"Can he read minds too?" I asked Talon, concerned for the both of our lives. Daxton might be annoying but something's telling me he has quite a bit of power here. "I don't know." He replied and I put a hand to my head, pacing across the carpeted floor. "Talon, what would they do to us?" I asked, instantly regretting the question. I saw the sadness in his eyes immediately and that's when I knew. We'd perish if we were to ever tell anyone what he told me. He nodded as I finished the thought in my head and I started to pace the floor faster.

I don't want to die! What did I ever do to deserve this? Why did Talon have to have a brother that now wants me dead, and why do I of all people here have to make me the Princess? I'm not a leader, I'm a follower. My trends I tried to make in grade school sucked! Why did I change into this dress it's like sticking to me? I tried to calm myself down but it wasn't exactly working. "Talon! We need to make sure he doesn't know anything." I said and he nodded as a response. All he's doing is nodding, is he really just sitting there not saying anything? How can he just pretend nothing bothers him?!

I'm sitting here panicking and sweating and pacing the floor and he's just calmly standing there with his one foot against the wallpaper on the wall nodding and watching me freak out. I walked up to him and punched him hard in the arm. "Pay attention!" I snapped panicked and he just started to walk away. Where is he going? Where did everyone go? Blaze, stop asking so many questions! I snapped at myself and put my hand back to my head, worried I'm driving myself crazy. I ran after Talon who was walking into another room. Where is he going? I followed him to the room and he stopped before turning the knob of the wooden door. "You coming, or are you just going to pretend to follow me quietly?" He asked looking back at me. I sheepishly followed him with my head down to the floor and he turned the knob. Talon opened the door and Daxton was standing there smirking.

"Ask him then, this is where he lives." Talon replied after for what felt like forever. I slowly walked up to Daxton and looked him in the eyes. "Daxton please, if you know anything, just keep it between us?" I asked and his eyes turned cold and mean. "Nope, you bruised my toe." He put his chin up in the air as if he was a baby refusing vegetables and I sighed aggravated. "So? You bruised my wrist!" I shot back and he scoffed. "Only because you were being mean." He spat. I threw my hands up in the air already thinking about how incredulously crazy this argument is. "Whatever, fine. Let me die, let your brother die. See if I care," I said, folding my arms. He looked at me wide eyed and smirked. "What if i do know something?" He asked with a sly smile. "Would you do whatever it takes to keep it all a secret?" Daxton whispered in my ear as he played with a strand of hair behind me. Not moving, I replied. "It depends on what it is?" I asked as a response and his smirk ceased to fade from his face. "Okay then," He said and Talon stared at him, probably trying to keep track of his thoughts.

Talon's expression went to neutral and I realized Daxton's thoughts probably contained something I didn't want to be a part of. "In order for me to keep all of this a secret," He said gesturing with his arms in a circle." You have to give me a chance." He said and I nodded my head, confused. "Okay, so what does that mean?" I asked. Daxton walked back to the front of the room by the door and looked at me. "That means for you to be mine, Princess." I scoffed. "Yeah right! You're a royal jerk." I said and he shrugged his shoulders. "If you don't want anyone to die from an accidental spilled secret you will." He threatened and walked out of the room. Talon walked up to me immediately and grabbed my arm. "Don't tell me you just dodged that bullet to save yourself from embarrassment." He said and I groaned. "Why would I accept that?" I asked and he stared at me surprised. "To save our skins Blaze! Do you want him to "accidentally" let that slip?" I nodded no and he threw his hands up.

"Go out there then and stop him, because that's probably where he's going!" He snapped and I quickly scurried out of the room without looking back to see if Talon was behind me or not because to be honest, he was annoying me with the truth. "Daxton wait!" I ran into the hallway looking for Daxton. As annoyed as Talon made me, I know he's right. I can't just defy Daxton when he's the one with the power in this situation. I'll give him a chance but I shouldn't commit to something so evil. He's too cruel to people, so this will just to save Talon and I's lives. It won't last long Blaze, just wait for the pan to sizzle. I tell myself and take a deep breath before running down the very long hallway some more, hoping Daxton will appear.

After running for a few minutes in each direction I begin to think that its too late now. I sit on a hallway bench and try to collect my thoughts without crying. I'm going to get both Talon and I killed. As I'm sitting here wondering what they'd do to us once Daxton told them I tapped my feet on the carpeted floor.

" Well well well, look what we have here." I hear a voice in front of me and I look up.
