Matred- Chapter Twelve

The stones in the wall started to shift once more and Talon looked from me to the wall in concern. I wonder who it is this time, I thought to myself. If it is who I think it is, I'll punch both of them in the face. Talon chuckled hearing my thought and two figures appeared in front of us. "Well well well, well if isn't the Princess and my Talon?" The female figure said. I recognized the voice as Malory's.  "Speak of the devil," I mumbled lowly. The male figure stepped forward revealing Daxton, brazen as always. " I see you've been enjoying my love's kisses brother," He said, staring at me. I felt uncomfortable. "Yes I have been sibling, your lady's lips are quite scrumptious." Talon shot back conspicuously. I wish I could've hid my face from Malory's sight right now. She was staring at me as if I was her poison. Almost as if she was afraid but not of me. It was a weird look for sure but I tried to play it as if I was not bothered by her fake eye daggers.

"Well Talon, I pity you for falling for someone so bland and of no importance." She spoke conceitedly as she threw me more dangerous eye daggers. "You should've just married me; I'm perfect, unlike her." She said, pointing her press on fingers at me, and I found it insulting. The way she flipped her hair irritated me. I could tell Talon also had no interest of her since he was literally growling at her.  "What do you want Malicious Malory?" He asked and I fought the urge to laugh at his clever nickname for her. I liked how he could play with words so quickly and still make it logical. Shut up Blaze!

Daxton reached out to grab my arm and I shot my hand out at his face, striking him hard. "What the hell?" He asked livid, pressing a hand to the spot where I had hit him. It made me feel powerful. Not the bad kind of powerful where it can turn you evil but where it just makes you feel like you've accomplished something small with strength. "You're done Daxton," I said and he just stared at me. I looked around the room and saw that everyone, not just Daxton was staring at me. Even Malory had her eyes fixed on me, jaw dropped at the scene. "What?" I asked and Talon broke his gaze on me and walked up to Malory where he was doing some sort of magic on her I haven't learned yet.

Malory didn't move for some reason and I wanted to know why but before I could even ask Daxton grabbed me up, mumbling something I couldn't comprehend. "Let me go!" I screamed and struck his arm and chest trying to let him go but he insisted on telling me to knock it off and that if he let go of me that I'd be stuck in this time tunnel paradox forever. I stopped and looked around me to find nothing but weird multi color auroras surrounding the two of us. Panic started to rise in my chest. What has he done? "Daxton, take me back." I ordered and he chuckled. "You can't control me here princess, we're not in Matred anymore." He said and I stared at him in fear and panic. What does that mean for me?

I wanted to go back to the cell. Back to all the drama between Malory and Talon. I wanted to get away from Daxton forever but I knew I couldn't and that thought was scaring me. "If you really want to leave just say so." He said in a duh tone and I hit him. "I did," I replied coldly. "No, no, no, no," He shushed me. "With your thoughts." He said and I scoffed. Like I'd do what he suggested. "Suit yourself." He commented before he disappeared. Now I'm alone in a weird time paradox and I don't know what to do.  Great, I thought to myself. I thought about what Daxton said before he vanished. Maybe he wasn't lying to me? I contemplated on whether or not to try it for a few minutes before I finally decided.

I thought about the cell, and about Talon. I thought about our crazy adventure so far, and I let my mind wander thinking about Talon and I and what we've been through. Suddenly, a huge white flash surrounded me and then there I was, back in the tiny cell with Talon. "Talon?" I tapped him on the shoulder as he had his head in his hands sitting in a chair. He immediately looked up at me, an expression of relief. "Oh my god Blaze, you scared me so bad," He said and sprung from his chair wrapping his arms around me, engulfing me in a tight hug. I smiled as I hugged him back, feeling his warmth radiating from his body. "I thought he took you in the time paradox and trapped you there." He said and I nodded. "He did," I said and Talon looked confused. "How did you get back here then?" He asked and I shrugged. "He told me to tell the tunnel that I wanted to leave with my thoughts." I replied and he looked at me for a second not saying anything.

"He's up to something then," He said. I agreed with him, wordlessly of course because I'm such a shy kindergartner. Ever since Talon kissed me earlier I can't seem to find my words talking to him. It's like when a boy decides to watch something he's not supposed to on the television set and mutes the sexual parts, turning the volume down for the remainder of it so no one knows he's watching it. That's not exactly what it's like but it's sort of similar. I just mute that part of myself so he doesn't know I'm feeling a certain way towards him.
