My Delicate Rose

by Victoria Winata
18th February 2017

I gaze at it, my delicate rose,
Sitting there, in a lonely pose,
Shielded by crystal, soft petals,
glowing in the darkness,

Leaves, coloured emerald green,
Giving off a glittering sheen,
My rose, embraced by the moonlight,
Flourishing in the darkness of night,

A gift from my darling Persephone,
My rose, a symbol of our love for eternity,
I watch as the sun slowly rises,
and as my rose slowly flutters
