My Room

My room

The walls are a colour blue

A lighter shade of the sky

Where clouds come to rest

And stars sing me a lullaby

The cool breeze of fresh air whispering a soft melody

Through in and out of these open doors

Inviting the sweet smell of vanilla roses

And back into the moonlit night it flows

I wonder what adventure waits for me

As I close my eyes and sleep in my comfy bed

Would it be another battle with a gruelling three eyed monster?

Or just another mystery to solve instead?

The distant noise of a ticking clock

As the rocket plummets in the air

3.2.1. the sound of an alarm

Pounding loud against my ear

Awakened by the thought of being an astronaut

I wonder what I should do today

I can build a Lego toy

Or maybe I can go out and play

I can read a book or two

Then I can watch my favourite cartoon

Whilst sitting quietly on the football chair

In a special place inside my room.
