Requests of a rabbit heart

Oh calm

Oh silence

Will you listen to me

When they are too consumed

In their tribulations

Will you wrap me

Take me with you

Wherever you may go?

Oh wind

Oh water still

Keep my dreams safe

From their expectations

You’ll carry those dreams

Won’t you

I trust you

Oh sun

Oh silver moon

Be with me

Through day and night

If no one will be

Tell me you might

Oh tears

Oh anger

Stay inside

Don’t swell

Even when provoked

I’ll call on your services

For a deserved release

To wreak havoc in my abode

Oh strength

Oh determination

Carry me forward

When my feet won’t move

Push me ahead

Through storm and heat

Oh love

Oh faith

I believe in you

So believe in me

When no one will

I need you

I hope you need me

Oh smile

Oh happiness

Find me in the dark

Pull me into the light

And let me not be blind

When the fog of sadness

Lurks over my soul

Oh life

Oh journey

I implore

Keep straight

For as long as possible

And before you bend

Let me know

Oh prayer

Oh words

Work your magic on me

Make me feel

Heal the wounds I can’t see

Try to reach God

And tell him I’m patient

Oh humility

Oh morals

You guide me

Hold my hand

And be my shadow

Whenever I need

Oh past

Oh memories

Motivate me

Be the fire that

Ignites my dreams

Oh future

Oh destination

Stay the same

So I know where to go

Throw me a rope

But don’t draw it back

When I least expect it

And all these hopes

Wipe away my tears

Silence the screams

And hush my fears

Give clarity to my dreams

I’m here, you know

Don’t ignore me no more.
