The tale of Bell

In the town of Dell lived a girl called Kell who was truly a bell of the ball

She was smart, rich and funny and lived in a castle, to others she had it all

The children would admire her glimmering tower that shined like a star

As they gazed from below at this beauty above, Kell the girl from afar

Little did they know, Kell was so empty her heart felt like a shell.

To live in a castle meant invisible parents busy building their money well

Her French nanny Fleur no longer cared and kept her in a technology cube

That was until Kell turned 9 and realised there was more to life than you tube

In the evening her parents admired their rich empire while eating delicate delights

Not realising their daughter so lonely and alone crying in her silk pillow at night

Secretly wishing her parent’s finances would one day crash through the floor

Then evenings would be spent by the fire together as a family happily poor

One morning Kell woke to a shattering cry and tears coming from below

There at the table both parents were slumped, they had run out of dough!

The market crashed, they lost their jobs and could no longer afford their lifestyle With glee Kell quickly suggested they move in with Uncle Barry for a while

Kell’s parents pondered this alternative setting, it might be the change they need

So Kell booked the tickets called Uncle Barry and packed bags with great speed

When they arrived Uncle Barry greeted them in his best farming suit

Carefully placing their luggage on the back of the old rusty ute

They may have lost their money

One day they might even find it funny

To end up living on a farm

With a bathroom no wider than an arm

Time flew fast as months had past

Kell’s plan was the best forecast

Her parents soon realised everything would be okay

They still had each other and they were here to stay!
