MR BEEP AND HIS CAR BEEP BEEP

Early one morning, Mr Beep left his house and, walked over to Grumpy Georgie Garage. Grumpy Georgie garage was, a little bit grumpy. He didn’t like being woken up.

“Good morning Georgie Garage,” said Mr Beep, with his biggest smile.

Grumpy Georgie Garage made a grumpy growling noise and opened the door. Mr Beep went inside and got into his car, Beep Beep.

Mr Beep waved goodbye to Grumpy Georgie Garage as he drove off down Trundle Lane. Mr Beep was off to give Mrs Moss a driving lesson today in Beep Beep.

Mrs Moss was waiting on her doorstep at home. She heard Mr Beep beep Beep Beep’s beep three times.

“Beep, beep, beep!”

She gave a friendly wave and hopped into Beep Beep, ready to start her lesson.

“Good morning Mr Beep,” she said smiling.

“Good morning Mrs Moss,” said Mr Beep. “Can you start Beep Beep’s engine and drive slowly away?”

But Mrs Moss wasn’t listening properly to Mr Beep and she drove off too fast.

“Whoa! Whoa! Mrs Moss slow down!” said Mr Beep. “You must stop at the Tickle Town traffic lights!”

But Mrs Moss still wasn’t listening.

“Whoa! Whoa! Slow down Mrs Moss!” said Mr Beep again. “The Tickle Town traffic lights are on red for stop!”

Mrs Moss slammed her foot down on the brakes and stopped suddenly, just as Sally Sweet started to cross the road. Mrs Moss tried to beep Beep Beep’s beep, but it wouldn’t work.

“Mr Beep, Beep Beep’s beep won’t beep,” cried, Mrs Moss. “What are we going to do?”

Mr Beep tried to beep Beep Beep’s beep, but it still wouldn’t work, so he got out Mollie Mobile and pressed the numbers one, two, and three.

“Hello, is that Bertie Breakdown? This is Mr Beep. I am on a driving lesson with Mrs Moss and Beep Beep’s beep isn’t working. Can you come and fix it?”

“I’m on my way, Mr Beep,” said Bertie Breakdown as he hopped into Benny Breakdown truck.

As they waited, for Bertie Breakdown, Mr Beep explained to Mrs Moss how she must pay attention and drive more slowly.

“It is very important that you drive slowly, Mrs Moss,” he said. “It is much safer, and you will be able to stop much more quickly and safely if you need to.”

When Bertie Breakdown arrived, he climbed out of Benny Breakdown truck and said hello to Mr Beep and Mrs Moss.

“Oh I see what the problem is,” he said as he looked closely at Beep Beep. “Beep Beep’s beep has a loose screw!”

Bertie Breakdown tightened the screw and pressed the horn.

“Beep, beep, beeeeep!”

“There you are Mr Beep,” he said. “All fixed! And you can finish your driving lesson now, Mrs Moss.”

Mr Beep and Mrs Moss continued on their journey and turned down Trundle Lane.

Then suddenly Mr Beep shouted:

“Mrs Moss, beep Beep Beep’s beep! Mrs Moss, beep the beep!”

Mr Moss was heading towards them on his Sammy mobility scooter, and he was on the wrong side of the road!

Mrs Moss beeped Beep Beep’s beep, just in time, and because she had been listening, and because she had been driving slowly, she was able to move out of Mr Moss’s way.

“Sorry about that Mr Beep,” she said a little flustered. “Mr Moss never looks where he is going when he is riding his Sammy mobility scooter.”

As Mrs Moss parked Beep Beep outside her house, Mr Beep said,

“That was a very good driving lesson today, Mrs Moss, because you learned to drive more slowly and you were able to move safely out of Mr Moss’s way.

Well done Mrs Moss.”

“Thank you Mr Beep, see you next week.”

Mr Beep drove home. When he got there he turned into his driveway and beeped three times. Grumpy Georgie Garage made a grumpy growling noise and opened his door. Mr Beep drove Beep Beep inside, locked up safely and went into his house. Grumpy Georgie Garage made a grumpy growling noise. He closed his door and eyes and went back to sleep.

It had been a beep beep kind of day.
