TWO LOVE BIRDS ---POEM

I'm looking back at the years, we have shared together;

when we were faithful mates, and there for each other;

we both truly believed, that our love would last forever.

We would always listen, to the other one's dreams;

no matter how small, or ridiculous they seemed.

We would comfort each other, through our pains;

hold each other tight, until we could smile again.

We were two love birds, heading for the same destination;      

now we have been blown off course, travelling in different directions.

We had a solid bond, that could never be broken;

not until we said things, that should never have been spoken.

Now our conversations, have run dry;

and it's so sad, because we don't know why.
