There are two options for people who register with W&A
Questions & Answers
and Writers Shared works.
In the Q&A part I would expect people to ask questions and get answers that would include URLs.
I have availed of the URLs provided in the Q&A part and been most grateful for the experience and the information.
In the "Writers Shared works" I would expect people to share their work.
This could include a URL to work hosted else where.
What I object to is a sales pitch or worse a religous sales pitch. That has no place in a Writers Shared works forum. If you have some work you want to share or want an opinion please post it. But please spare me your religious bias or your "I need your business" Unless its directly related to your shared work.
If you have just published a book or have it on Amazon of course I am interested. But only within "Writers Shared works forum"
and you are posting to share part of your work.
I may buy it and then again I may not but this forum is about a (or should be)
critique of the work provided.
Again correct me if you think I am wrong. If you have something you want me to Buy or a URL that you want me to go to stick it in the Q&A.
If you have written something you would like me to read and give an opinion on.
Place it in "Writers Shared Works"
So which part of all this do people not want to understand?
I would also tend to agree. I check out the shared work to see shared work.
I have a link to my blog/website/twitter in my profile, but I am of the opinion that if you aren't interested you wont follow the links through.
This should be about helping other writers, and trying to push people further when it comes to doing something they love and enjoy...
I agree Frank.
The only people who should advertise here, are those directly connected to W&A.
However, links to websites are acceptable in my opinion.
