The Voice Within./ What am I.

The Voice Within .

The voice within is not yet heard. But yet the mother feels the

infant stirred. It moves around its presence is felt, yet only god only knows which sex is dealt.

Yet If we could hear the voice within, We would have heard an angel sing.

The child cocooned within its mother, would have a voice like no other.

And when you hear a person sing, it is the voice from deep within.

It touches your heart so deep inside, you know how it feels when an angel

cries. The voice that moves you to shed a tear, can calm the rage of your inner fear.

It can bring a person to their knees, when you wear your heart upon your sleeve.

So that voice of honey so sweet a sound, is the voice of a child yet unfound.

As we sit and listen and wait to hear, the tones of an angel upon our ear.

The voice within we hope will be, the child unborn we wait to see.

And as a mother chats to her lump, the babe within lets out a little thump.

Its that contact made between mother and child. That is not just felt deep down inside.

If we could hear the voice from deep within, we hope it would want to shout and sing.

Let me out, let me see what this world has to offer. I hope the voice within is our voice of tomorrow.

********************************

What am I.

As I take hold of you in my hand,

The way you feel is oh so grand.

I can only admire the way you work

the way you make me grin and smirk.

You have a way that makes me think,

you say I could be your missing link.

And then we go to a place I've never seen,

and you say words that are obscene.

You also try scaring me half to death,

forcing me to catch my breath.

Then you cast your magic spell,

enclosing me in your prison cell.

And all the words you say unto me,

only help me truly,truly see.

Can you guess at what you look

Yes you're right, I am a "Book."

I think your poems are lovely. They rhyme beautifully whilst at the same time they're telling you a story.

'Power to the Word!' and long may it reign! Good luck with the next one!

cheers

Wow, fantastic. I was think along the lines of it being about a person or something, but then it ends up being the contrary, the thing I least expected- a Book. Well, what do you know, I didn't expect the poem to shock me so bad. The best part I feel, is the way the last sentence changes, it all. Its like, you expect to see a common portable TV, and then you get a huge plasma. The poem seriously shocks you and makes you chuckle and smirk about it. The suspense is built up well and Its uniquely fun and oddly cool, sort of like ice cream i guess.

Good Job, yet again.
