who we are - poem

Rencently I've turned this poem into a song but I want to know what you think of it.

Who we are

We fall,

We rise,

We give,

We take,

We make mistakes,

We live.

We're human.

We all have flaws,

We all have scars,

We put in a jar, tucked away where nobody can see.

They are a part of who we are and they made us the person we now.

We should embrace them and don't resent them.

They add a special charm to who we are.

We should be who we want to be, not who we are told to be.

Why would I want to be anyone else

And put myself on a shelf?

All the labels that gets attached are not worth it

You don’t have to be perfect

We all should stand tall and be who we are

Comments

I applaud the sentiment behind your poem/song.

I think is will resonate with many people who put on a brave face to the world and cry in public.

All I can see that may need attention is the 3rd from last line....gets should be get.

Well done
