I've just posted a short story - 'Heavy Bags' - on the Shared Work pages.
I wrote it for my blog. It's an allegory - a stylistic device I dislike intensely, but I felt it was the best way of conveying the idea that I wanted to convey. It wasn't intended as a short story at all, really.
Now, to my huge confusion, friends are saying it's the best thing I've written.
Aaaaaaagghhhhh!
I would greatly appreciate informed criticism please!
I meant that yours isn't the first case of an author's being upset at the popularity of one - or more - of their creations.
Sorry, Jimmy, I don't follow you there...
Where would we be without Kafka? He asked a friend to destroy EVERYTHING that he (Kafka: not the friend) had ever written. We're lucky that the friend didn't comply.
I LIKE Boating For Beginners!
