After published, do we keep writing for pleasure?

I always ask my self... after published, when you get deadlines and stuff, is it possible to keep writing for pleasure?

Replies

I think it would be a pretty sad world for writers if our only aim was get published. The novel I am attempting to get published now was orginally just for me, but I decided half-way through that this was actually a project that wasn't half-bad.

All the greats originally started writing just for pleasure originally, so my personal opinion that its best to always carry on so long as you want to.
