Agent for both script and novel writer

Does anyone have any advice on attracting an agent to support me in both my novel writing and script writing? Also with a desire to potentialy direct the films I have written.

Would one agent be able to cover these different media?

I don't know if there are any agents who rep scripts and novels.

However, you are allowed to have more than one agent. There are a healthy number of authors who have more than one literary agent to represent them in different genres (if, for instance, they write Romance novels as well as Children's books).

Also, agents do not direct films. Directors direct films. Agents sell the rights to use your script.

The BBC Writers Room has a wealth of information about script writing (as well as containing the correct formatting guidelines for different kinds of scripts - a sitcom is not formatted the same way as a film script). Check it out.

There are many reputable agents and agencies that deal with all aspects of writing and all forms of publishing.
