Am I giving the game away with my prologue?

I have shared the prologue for my memoirs book. The prologue sort of gives away the fundamental reason I have for writing my book. How the false memory came about, why it happened, and the effect the false memory has had on my life forms the main part of the book.

Should I include it or not? The reason I have for using it, is that I have started the book with me as a young boy, 10 years before the event that caused the false memory. Without it, it may seem pointless reading about my early years, whereas there are pointers in my childhood that lead to what happened.

I'd leave it in, brief and to the point as it is. I've commented on it below.
