I was recommended a piece of classical music on YouTube. While I continued browsing, I discovered a young singer by the name of Jackie Evancho. Some of you may already be familiar with this ten/eleven year old with the voice of an angel. I understand why she won America's got talent. Where does that voice come from?
I do not agree.
It is not merely knowing the aspects of a novel that make a good writer.
Inspiraton is drawn from many of life experiences. There are strong influences, but there are also many other influences. I take a broad view of everything. Everything is interrelated. Rigid compartmentalizing of literature stifles comprehensive debate.
I have noticed that many of the blogs on this site are statements with no direct questions. How are we supposed to respond?.
It is up to the regular contributors to enliven the community by asking questions. This may encourage others to do the same. If not the site will become listless. I will not bother to post if that happens. Why waste the effort?

I find relevant music helpful. I listen to whatever my characters would listen to. It helps me get into their frame of mind.
