Im not one to complain normally, however I have noticed someone rather rude on here. Normally people are friendly and if your work needs improvement (which mine does I wont lie) they say so jn a polite way; however the past few weeks I've noticed a few of the people not using the site and have been made quite upset by the way someone has commented on my work. If there is something you feel needs improving there is a way to say this, there is no need to be rude about it! Thank you to the people on this site who actually knkw that!
Hi all,
We are aware of the problem and we agree - this kind of feedback is not what our site is for. We encourage constructive criticism and supportive attitudes. With this in mind, the comments were all deleted yesterday and the user suspended.
Please remember that we are always available at waybfeedback@bloomsbury.com if there are any problems or questions.
Best wishes,
The W&A Team
So I got curious, had a look at your comments....
Can't really see what you are complaining about! Unless the comment in question has been removed, all others are positive (perhaps too much so, not a lot of critique and an awful lot of back scratching) with little suggestions.
Perhaps you need to take a step back and not take criticism so personally. That can be hard, but it will improve your writing immeasurably. That is the point of shared work after all :)
Though I have to say the misogyny and homophobia from certain people is very distasteful.
If a comment is genuinely rude/unnecessary there is always the flag button. I'm sure the mods will help if needed.
Well, Victoria I do agree that it is a mean thing to be rude but I have a suggestion! Why don't you just disregard those idiotic comments? No offence, but the rude ones are usually well below standards or rather chesty.......
My personal treatment has always been Ignorance, Ignorance and Ignorance......(just was trying to lighten the mood!!)
