I have been a beta reader for my friend Debbie Ellen Carr who has been writing Balancing Syrestia, and have so far have enjoyed every minute of her books.
It got me thinking though that I would love ot become a beta reader for other authors too. So I was told to come on here and let you all know who I am.

Thankyou Paul for all your advice really appreciate it, as I am quite new to this, I would love to be able to do this for a small consideration as you said, but also love to read as a hobby LOL!
Thanks also for pointing out the email address part, I will look at removing it and will connect with folk so they can contact me that way.
I am still so suprised with how many people have responded to my question.

Sorry Sarah. That should have read 'not looking for a freebie'. Freudian slip perhaps?
Hi Sarah.
As Damien says, I think you've opened quite a can of worms here. Don't worry - I'm now looking for a freebie here. My first novel is requiring of a severe edit by moi first. It's a 75000 word masterpiece. All I have to do is extract those words from the 130000 word pile of crap they're in at the moment. :-(
If you look at the services tab on this site, you'll see there are professional read-throughs/comments available at certain prices. Now I wouldn't suggest you should set yourself up as competition to services offered directly or indirectly by this illustrious site, but once you communicate with people by email you may wish to request some small consideration for your time and effort. Having done some read-throughs and reviews myself (very small-scale stuff) I can vouch for the possibility of it becoming tedious if it is not actually your business venture.
Also, I wouldn't put your email address directly in view on the site. You might prefer to use the connect facility and that leads to email connectivity. I assume btw that you accidentally tapped the d instead of the s key?
Good luck with your can of worms. Hope you can get the lid back on some time.
Regards, PabloJ.
