I have a possible interview lined up. My thinking was posting the interview on one of my blogs, as well as pitching magazine editors with the story. My question is: will editors refuse to publish something that already appears on one of my blogs? I think, the person I hope to interview, would like the story to appear in a recognized magazine.

Yes, I agree with Jonathan. Pitch the interview to magazines first - if no-one picks it up, then publish it on your blog.
Personally I'd pitch the magazines first and use the blog as a backstop. Blog articles are 'published' as in the public domain which would make something posted there less attractive to a magazine publisher, I'd have thought.
