It would be nice if Bloomsbury included their members in a Competition that would give one writer (selected by them) the opportunity of having their unsolicited manuscript read. There are some very good writers on this site who could do with a chance.

All great ideas are at heart very simple and this is a great idea.
Up there with the "Why did no one think of this before"
Bloomsbury has the points system which will mean only people who have contributed to the site can take part.
And if they lift the veil on the whole process it could give everybody else
an insight into why a particular manuscript was selected.
If they for example covered the whole process in a blog form from the selection of the winning manuscript through the marketing to the end result in print or e-book. I for one would think it a job well done.
It would good relevant content for the website and it will be of great interest to the rest of us as well.
So well done Damien and keep the ideas coming;D)
