Blurbs and Creative Control

How much creative control do writers have over the blurbs of their books?

Thank you Lorraine. I think the 100 word limit is a good guide. Definitely need to edit my current attempts down a bit.

Kay, I've seen some authors who put the whole synopsis on the blurb for an e-book, which is completely wrong. Every word should be worth twice its weight, and you should aim for around 100 as a rough guide.

Check out your favourite authors' books, and see what they do and how they do it.

Thank you. Do you know if there is a word count for blurbs?
