My favourite awards are the Carnegie- and Newbery Medal for children's literature.

What do you think of book awards?

Which awards are important to you?

Jonathan, my reading diet mainly consists of award-winning authors.

I was going to say I've never read an award-winning novel and consciously avoid them like the plague. But I remembered one Dick Francis novel won an American Crime Writers award, and since I've read them all that would have been a porky.

If you have a favourite award please post the website, because I would like to research them.
