Book proposal

Hi, I am new to Writers and Artists. Forgive me if this question has been asked before. I am working on getting my book published. It is about a fantasy world named Rolamia and the characters are based on real people. I will be leaving school soon so I would like to be remembered. After 5 years of searching for a publisher I got one named Jessica Kingsley but was rejected. As much as it hurts me to say. Rolamia must be treasure forever with me especially since I was diagnosed with autism. If anyone could tell me how I can get my book published ASAP I would be really grateful.

Hi Khudeeja,

There is no shame these days in self-publishing, in eBook or in print.

Whilst I would always recommend using a professional editor they can be expensive (usually based on word count) you would have to consider if your budget would allow this.

Using Amazon via Kindle Direct Publishing (for eBooks) and CreateSpace (for printed paperbacks) you could see your desire to be published realised.

Neither will proof your work and you will have to make sure all formatting is correct (you can always amend and edit work 'published' but it's best to have it right first time). There are individuals and companies who will do this for you at a price.

You will also need to source and have formatted cover art, again this is probably best done by a professional but needn't be overly expensive.

Refer to the Amazon uk site for more details, and contact them if there's anything specific you have concerns about.

Hope this helps,

regards,

Andy
